G35 Slipping Issue
G35 Slipping Issue
I drive a 2003 G35 coupe and since i’ve owned the vehicle i have had pretty bad slipping issues. Not quite sure what it is or what’s causing it but my car shifts perfectly but when i’m in gear and step on the gas that’s when it slips, my rpms shoot sky high and i don’t move anywhere. happens worse at higher gears. Could really use some advice/Help

Yes!
That is the symptom of a worn clutch
Replace the clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, and rebuild or replace the CSC.
With an almost eithteen year old vehicle many parts are at or near end of life. You didn't mention the mileage on your vehicle but a properly driven manual vehicle should get close to 200k miles on a clutch.

Definitely a worn clutch, there's not enough friction material left to keep the engine locked to the transmission. Jumping rpm while in gear like that is EXACTLY the symptom of a slipping clutch.
