GLEX, you still viewing this? YOu have any pics of your G with those Adrians on? I was looking at those or the Z17 Carozas for my 4 door.

WOW man. I am sorry to hear about your situation, If I was you I would contact Tim @ speed force racing. They can do a fully built tranny and TC capable of I think 650 HP no problem for under what you paid. I dont know exact pricing but when you call, tell him Kamal referred you over. if you need their number, lemme know. Take care man and I hope everything works out.

Thanks Kamal,
I already called them several times. The problem is we're a little bit concerned about dumping more money into the unknown. I spoke with people who SSR is likely to use for the job and got an impression that our trannies with its adaptive line pressure is a dark territory. There are good signs though and maybe in 3-4 years we will enjoy same options Supra guys have now

For now 6MT swap looks like the best option to get the car running.

Motop,

I'm very sorry to hear this. The nightmare is only compounded by the fact that you live so far away from Level 10. As taken from one of my prior responses concerning Level 10:

Level Ten doesn't have a good rep and I strongly question a transmission company that rates tranny components in HP, not TQ. "Handles 800hp" is meaningless to me because F1 cars make 800hp, but only a measley 300tq in comparision. What about a 300hp turbo diesel that makes 600 ft/lbs of torque? Transmissions are rated in torque, not HP.
I think Level 10 is VERY sketchy. It's amazing that they have all these fancy parts and seem to be able to beef up ANY tranny assuming you throw a lot of money at them. Like you said in the linked posted, you basicially got a $4,000 valvebody job. I know of many domestic and import owners that have gotten the shaft by this company.

I can already hear ChicagoX's footsteps coming down the hall to respond to my post......

make an adapter plate to fit a GM auto tranny on the VQ. Those can handle the abuse.

I didn't read your thread, but I got screwed by Level 10 about 10 years ago on a 94 Mustang GT I owned.

They sent me a variety of parts to upgrade my auto trans. None of it worked. I ended up returning it all, never got my money back from a them. I was given a credit that I never used. Seriously, what was I going to buy from them??? And I got screwed on the install and removal labor!

F*ck 'em!!!

T400 tranny with custom fittings+custom driveshaft = $8k
Also mandates install of something that can control it - i.e. Motec M600/800 - $7k
A little bit out of my league, but goes to say that I know my options

MOTOR,

*** Level10. Sue their a$$es big time or better yet ... I'd rather not say.

Dr.Evil in IL is your key to success. They build crazy trannies for crazy cars from dragsters and hot rods to streetable cars. They simply the best in the country.

I know bunch of guys who running blown Accord V6s the car that lacked solid transmission and nobody wanted to help. They did from scratch and currently working on other make/models. I'll PM some info. Moskva govorish?
