Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft

Is there a place I can order a carbon fiber drive shaft of my G35 Sedan??

i thought that the 350z and G35 already had carbon fiber driveshafts

Only 350z does, G35 doesn't for some reason

i know that the g has a slightly longer wheel base than the z, but are the driveshafts the same length? can i swap a z one to my g?

Unfortunately, because of the longer wheel base, the driveshaft on the G needs to be longer so you can't just swap it, otherwise alot of us would have done that already.

The z's shaft is not 100% Carbon Fiber is it?

no its not all carbon fiber, pretty much just the shaft part, and i believe ours is made out of some aluminum composite and is not that much heavier, plus a carbon fiber drive shaft for our car would be about 1500 dollars

You may want to look at various other components to reduce driveline power loss, like flywheel, clutch, different gearing for better acceleration, etc.

The 350Z shaft is a single piece unit that is easy to make out of carbon fiber. The G35 sedan and coupe use a 2 piece shaft....much more expensive to make......so it is just a standard steel unit. I had talked to ACPT about a year ago and they said if they were sent a sample drive shaft they can make a copy out of fiber. Big $$$$ though.
