Well, I had that infamous rear axle rattle/ticking/clicking sound. I had brought my G in to the dealer and new rear axle bolts were ordered. After having waited nearly some 2 months for the said bolts, they were finally installed. After the installation of the bolts everything sounded perfect. The bolts were installed on 12.19.05. Now, the sound is back!

Has anyone else, whom had the these bolts installed had the rattle/ticking/clicking sound reappear? I need to bring the G back to the dealer.

 

May be this time dealer needs to rebuild or replace your axle. I had my done Dec 2005, no sound or noise yet and hopefully I don't have to go back for the same problem again.

 

Bump, did you find the cause of the ticking noise???? I'm having the same problem and it's driving me CRAZY!!!! It's still ticking after I greased where the axle meets the hub.
