LSD on 6 Speed Manual
LSD on 6 Speed Manual
I am a new G35 Sedan owner and I am confused as to what type of LSD is on my car. I have the 2003.5 6MT with the sport package. I've read some of the posts here and it sounds like the automatic has something called an electronic brake LSD and the manual has a true mechanical LSD. Is that correct. If so, what type of mechanism is the LSD on the 6MT--viscous? I assume it's probably not a clutch or helical gear type like many aftermarket units.
Have people been happy with this LSD? Has anyone tried an aftermarket unit?
Thanks,
John

Re: LSD on 6 Speed Manual
From what I understand the automatics will now also get the manual's mechanical LSD in '04.

Re: LSD on 6 Speed Manual
you do NOT have an LSD if you have a 2003 or 2003.5 sedan.
that is all
2004 6MT's come with it standard, I don't know nuthin bout no automatics
