Labor Costs for Clutch Install
My stock clutch is starting to slip a little, so I'm currently in the market for an upgrade, JWT clutch and flywheel. I've been calling around here (Norfolk/VA Beach area) and I was quoted $400 for the install. Is this a reasonable price? I understand that there is a lot involved, but I just want to compare it to what everyone else is paying.
Will dealership's install aftermarket product?

www.boostfed.com contact Terry tell him Ronnie sent you.
and he can refer you to some place in the Va beach area to have them do it. Shad at Abacus does good work, and i have always liked the guys at Millenium don't know how much they charge though

Clutch feel and adjustments
Check to see if they will adjust your clutch pedal return distance. I have done so on several G's & Z's so the driver has a smaller push zone to start the engagement of the pressure plate. Also make sure that you do get the flywheel with the clutch. There are differences in the thickness of the stock flywheel & clutch and the JWT clutch. I installed a couple of JWT clutchs for some military guys and they went with just the clutch and kept the stock flywheel. The throwout on the master cylinder needed to be addjusted to fix the engagement of the narrower JWT clutch. You will also get a much more sold response from the new clutch. Just as a info bite...the internal clutch disc is made by Exedy.
