Delay when acclerating from stand still?
Hello all,
In my G35 I experience what feels like a slight delay.
From a standstill, when I floor the acclerator, it feels as if the
car is moving slowly or slightly hesitating for just about a second.
After that it goes fine.
Is this just me or does everyone get the same response?
Thanks

I have the same behavior. It's not the adaptive transmission since I've tried manual mode, nor is it VDC which I've turned off. It's a "bog" or "sag" in the power curve below 4k rpm, at wide throttle settings. Above 4k rpm and below 4k at light throttle it feels OK.
If you haven't tried VDC off and manually shifting try that.

I think thats the way automatic works, it happens on my mom's camry, friends tl and every automatic I drove.
There's a certain pressure you push to get zero delay...But if you stomp on it, there will be a delay..

from what i heard from friends.. its better to slowly push on the pedal, for a little, THEN push it down, so it starts it off without that stall.. good luck

I had some good results power braking the car. I did not allow the rear wheels to spin, I just got the engine up to about 3500 then let off the brake and gave it about 3/4 throttle. I had a very good launch when doing this perfect. The rear wheel would even make a little noise.
