My G37 has "oil consumption" issues which is not surprise since I'm always at redline, no big deal 1/4 quart per 1,000 miles top off is not bad. My friends brand new BMW M3 does the same

Mine changes my oil as I drive gotta dump in a quart per thousand!!
Engine crank has been turned once every few months.
