Thanks! I'm thinking the sames thing. Just turned 100k miles. its running fine. figured its a good time to change.

You'll see a difference for sure. I noticed a difference when I replaced my Iridiums with new Iridiums.

Im at 115 and Im gonna do some plugs as well.

I changed my plugs yesterday. I also removed one of the hoses that is right above cylinder 1 as it made it easier to get the coilpack and plug out. I had no oil in the spark plug tubes thankfully as I was at 69,200 miles so no warranty work for me. I did have one problem while putting all the wire harness bolts into the brackets around the engine. The below picture is of the bracket next to cylinder 2. WHile it looks fine from the pic, the bolt is tight, but there is still quite a bit of play with the bracket.

Can someone confirm I have it on right and also, the top of the bolt is stamped with a '7'? I noticed that one of the bracket bolts had a '6' on it, but it was a mm or so longer so I figured it didn't go there. I should have paid more attention to the bracket bolts as I thought there were all the same.

Just thought i'd add for people with the the 07 sedan its a bit different but actually easier, my only problem was i couldn't get my spark plug socket to fit down there to grab the spark plug because the tube surround the plug is too small. anyone else have this problem? i think the the HR and rev up are different in this sense, but someone correct me if i'm wrong

I did my spark plug change on my g. the brackets are quite easy to remove. that allows for enough play. I would also suggest to stick with the NGK plugs. Not too expensive and they get work very well. The only issue I had is since I'm FI the intercooler piping is almost DIRECTLY in the way to access the last plug/coil pack. I think it's the #6 location. That one kinda stunk to get to. The last shop that worked on it cross threaded the bolt and now I'm going to have to tap that insert, but I won't touch it until next time.

Well I tried to change my spark plugs today. I did the drivers side, but the passenger side is such a PITA that it will have to wait for another weekend. I don't know how everyone is having such an easy time with this.

Look in the D.I.Y. Section. It's an excellent reference if your g is stock or close to stock. I.e. No FI.

This is the DIY section, for changing plugs...it's what we've used to do the change on our own. I had no issues, just need to take your time & follow every step.

Just ordered new NGK plugs. Gonna have a fun install day next week, MREV2, Grounding Kit, and new plugs, probably do oil change at the same time.

Plugs make a HUGE difference if you're getting higher into the milage range.

found oil on one of my plugs but non in the tubes. what does that mean? how did oil get in there?

did you have you valve covers replaced? these looked pretty wet with oil.
