What mileage is safe and effective to start mods?

I have had my G35auto C now for about a month and have 1200 miles on it. I want to add the 350z tube and do a few other small things i.e. exhaust, ecu. At what mileage is safe and effective to start doing a few of these things? I have read a bit about the ECU resetting the whys but, how often and when should it be done with this car? In addition is the easiest and most sure way to do the rest would be the 12-hour battery disconnect? Thank you for your responses
