noise when letting off gas pedal

Hi All,

I just recently purchased a 06 6MT and noticed a weird humming/whining when I let off the gas the pedal and car is still in gear. I don't know where it's coming from nor what's causing it. Does anyone know what this is and if it's normal. This is not my first MT. I own a MR2 SC as well and never had this problem. Thanks!

Yea it happens for me too in some gears. I've had it on previous manual cars. I don't worry about it.

Have it in my G. I think it's gear meshing, I'm gonna change my diff fluid and tranny fluid. If that doesn't work, I'm going to get the diff shimmed.
