Help Car Not Starting After Mrev Install

i just got my copper iso therm Mrev the other day and installed it today- after putting everything back in and making sure i didnt miss any bolts-wire- or hose i went to start up the car- upon starting the car it had a hard idle and then turn right off - i followed the instructions on resetting the ECU and Throttle Valve and Accelerator- and still the same thing, start up the car, has a hard idle and then off, i dont have any check engine lights coming up at all- anyone have any ideas???

triple check your work... make sure no hose is being pinched... make sure your electrical connections are nice and tight... id say pay attention to your maf and throttle body... and all the hoses around where you did your work... just throwing idea at ya...maybe someone with more knowledge can chine in

sounds like you have a vaccuum leak. tighten all bolts. i had a similar problem and it turns out i didnt tighten the throttle body bolts enough.

Aside from all of the visible and obvious connections to check . . . Check the emissions hose, which connects to your intake (G or Z) tube. Good luck!

I agree on the vacuum leak. Check the following:

loose bolts
oil filler gasket interfering
intake gasket not seated properly

thankx for the info guys, i rechecked the all the bolts this morning and ALOT of them were still loose, i guess i got nervous yesterday after reading the instructions and they saying that you can tighten them without much force(90lbs) so i didnt use the torque wrench and just a tighten them slightly- today i REALLY tighten the bolts along with the throttle body bolts and the engine did start up today- the only thing is that i hear a little click every so often when i'm pushing the gas, but other than that it did work.
my only other concern is the resetting of the ECU /Throttle/ Accelerator- im not sure if i even correctly did those at all- i followed the instructions as well, but is it REALLY nessecary incase you dont have that done? or will it mess up the timing or anything?

ok ok another wierd thing just happen, after the weekend passed the car started and everything seemed to be all gravy- well today after driving home, i stopped off at a gas station to get a drink, i turned my car on and all of a sudden my VDC light - SLIP light & Check Engine Light all come on and then my car starts to slowly shut off- i pulled over to a residental area and turned my car back on again and the Check Engine Light was on this time- i tired to press the Gas Pedal and my RPMs didnt move at ALL- i pressed the Gas Pedal ALL the way down and it slowly moved just barely making it over 1000rpms and nowhere near 2000- i just my engine off again and let it sit there for awhile and restarted back up, i was able to make it home safely ... so... um, any ideas guys?? oh yea one more question..... the 6bolts on top of the Plenium if those are loose would that make a BIG difference since the surrounding bolts hold down the Plenium to the MREV ??

That sounds very odd. Almost sounds like an electrical issue causing it to go into limp mode. Particularly when it changes that much from one day to the next.

A air leak, if large enough, can cause stalling but this sounds like something else.

Are all the cables and harnesses tight and secure? MAF sensor? Throttle body harness? Check all the wires in the area.

well after another week of testing this is what has happen so far- after the first time my car gave me the VDC/SLIP & CEL light all came on- i might have forgotten to mention that previous to that when i FIRST installed the Mrev and went for a test drive i forgot to put one of the hose on the Ztube which cause the WHOLE tube to come off of the throttle body- i made it back home that time and just reconnected the Ztube back on the throttle body and did no ECU reset of any kind- well a week passed and everything seemed fine, but then out of the blue i get the VDC/ SLIP & CEL light shows up again- i turned off the engine and then restarted and all i got was the CEL light showing, came home and looked over the Mrev -Bolts -Tubes & Wiring- all seemed well so i did the rest yet again, about 3days pass and i get the same VDC/SLIP & CEL showing up yet again- so fast forward to today, i was planning on taking the entire plenium apart and do it yet again, I was taking off the Ztube and saw that it wasn't entirely connected to the throttle body- kinda hard to describe but lets say the tube looked like if you had circle tubing and you collapse lets say the bottome portion- so as far as i think i still didnt have a good seal around the throttle body, so again im going to see if i get the lights to show up again before i go and tear down the whole thing because everything seems too look fine- well i hope so

Yes. If its saying throttle position sensor then do the reset procedure described on the last page of the installation manual.
