Noisy Valves? Anyone have this problem?

I noticed that i can hear my valves opening/closing pretty well at idle... anyone else have this problem? Valve adjustment time eh? Any idea how much this would cost at the dealer roughly? Thanks!

Are you sure you're not hearing the injectors? The injectors on these car pretty dang loud. Also, I've never heard of a VQ30/35 needing a valve adjustment, regardless of mileage. To test and see if the sound you're hearing is the injectors, simply remove the plastic engine cover and take a long screw driver and place the metal end of the screw driver on top of an injector housing and then put the screwdriver handle up to you're ear. If you hear a a quick and loud "tap, tap, tap" through the screwdriver, then it's your injectors. No worries.

You have oil in that car of yours? Maybe it's time to change brand of oil? Anyway if it's still does it there are additives that you can put to silence it.

+1 on the injectors. If you are running the right weight oil (5W/30 or 10W/30) and its been maintained properly, 99.9% probable there is nothing wrong with your valvetrain.
