I want to run a partial dual exhaust with the muffs in the far corners of the rear. Unfortunately, the evap canister is in the place where I want to put my second muff on my sedan.
Soooo, I want to move my evap canister to the engine bay. This is not a big deal (only running wires and splicing into some vacuum hose). there is no room in the engine bay without moving something (battery comes first to mind)
I know they sell kits for relocating batteries (like optima and such). Has anyone here done it or know of a good place to talk to someone who has?
I plan on running a common 2.5" exhaust pipe to two 2.25" pipes before the muffs (two 14830 Magnaflows) with a 2.5" 22" magnaflow resonator on the common pipe.

OK, I'm know I'm bringing this thread back from beyond the dead, but at least you know I searched 
Has no one relocated their battery to the trunk? The trunk is so easy to gut and the battery "should" be an easy way to balance the weight distribution. I've seen a few audio sub-installs, but has no one done this for performance?

I don't why anyone would want to move the battery in a G35. It already has a battery compartment. What you put n its place.

Because you want to bring some weight to the back after gutting everything. Im planning on doing this as well. You will need to box it so it can contain spills, and vent.

A couple of my friends have moved their batteries to their trunks for performance reasons, no reason why you can't do it.

I'm not sure what the law requires, but not all batteries need to be vented. I don't think Optima's do and the replacement for our car is 5lbs lighter too.Originally Posted by LordFappington

And with the trunk gutted it almost doubles in size too... it's almost practical.... except for replacing your spare with a foam spray can
