GC has its own section in the forum . Yes I learned about it at bitog. Its a much thicker synthetic then Mobil -1..which the VQ35 likes. Many people also posted used oil anaylysis on that site and the results for GC in the VQ were great, very low wear.

Give it a try, its Castrol syntec 0w-30 and it says made in germany on the back of the bottle (the rest are made in USA). AutoZone is the only store that carries it according tho what I know.

you are wasting your money you can easily run it to 5k. I run mine untill 7.5k.
As long as you are running a good filter any synthetic will run 10k with no problems. Two of my friends are running mobile-1 extended performance. One of them runs it for 15k (which is whats its good for) the other changes out once a year 13-15k.

Full synthetic oils have the molecules of the base oil all equal in chemical composition and diameter measured in DALTONS.

The benefits of a fully synthetic are not based on the length of the base stock.
It is the stability of the base-stock in an engine that matters, it needs a low viscosity, high boiling point, resistance to oxidation, stability under shear, and a few other characteristics.
