Fumoto Drain Valve - Factory crush washer or not?

I just got one of those fumoto drain valves for my G, hopefully it will aid in sampling the oil to send into Blackstone Labs for testing. Anyways, I was wondering what would be the recommended washer to use... The stock copper crush washer or the blue one that comes on the fumoto drain valve? My gut says to use the fumoto one, but I just picked up a copper crush washer from the parts dept. just in case.

Any input is much appreciated!

One last thing, I got the Mobil1 5w-30 Full Synthetic to put in the car, its got ~38,000 miles ( I didnt get the extended performance as I am not planning on running the oil past 5k miles). I also got the mobil1 oil filter. Does this all sound alright?

Did you get the lock ring with yours? Mine is a Bi**h to get on/off, next time I think I will have to leave it off. Almost lost my eye twice when it shot off.

The mobil1 Full Synthetic should be fine though right? I mean opposed to the Extended performance type? I would think extended performance is good for pushing it to 15k miles or something, which I am not doing.

Its a stainless steel compression ring you put on the valve to keep the lever from moving. Its just too tight making it super hard to get on/off. When I take it off next time Iam going to hit it with a torch to kill some of the spring in it.

Okay what's the deal with this crush washer thing? You have to have it? Will you get leaks if you don't use it? I didn't even have any washer with my oil drain plug, I don't think. I put it on and I think maybe I have a leak. I'll check tomorrow. Does the thing leak itself at all? I have the snap ring holding some plate inside the valve and I wondered how air tight that could be. I hope that if it's really leaking, it's leaking because I just need a washer. This bleepin thing was 28 bucks or some junk.
