Im having a zex kit installed(sig) tomorrow and wanted to know how a nitrious shot feels like. I never had nitrous on a car before. Ive had a twinturbo stealth before though. Is it similiar in any way?

 

Depending on your shot... a 75 shot feels like a little KICK of boost... sort of like the feeling of your turbo finally being spooled.

100 shot and above is even more of a neck snapper...

this of course is if your getting traction

 

Please post your post-install experience. I'm planning on putting in nitrous sometime in the next year as well.

 

Would like to know the experience as well. Do you arm it then hit a button and just floor it? DO you wait until you're in 3-4th gear and then hit it or just floor it anytime for boost?

wow, it was better than I expected. Can really notice the difference is power and speed. The purge is pretty cool too. I guess its rice if you purge at people, lol, but its fun. I would recomend it to anyone, heres some pics

doesnt nitrous damage your engine???

also how did you tune and etc and how do you run it safe??

 

it doesnt "damage it " as much as a turbo or supercharger. You only use it when you want to. No tune as of yet but car seems to be running better than before., not using n2o.

 

have you tested it against any other cars yet??

 

i havent meet any cars worthy yet , but I have tested it out in safe areas. I have it were it sprays at WOT. 75hp shot feels pretty good. Purging at night is pretty cool with the blue led. I never seen nitrous purge before so im sure people are like wtf.

 

How much did your set up cost you. So a purge is different than nos?
Explain to me in detail because I am thinking of getting nos or what you have if its what I think it is.

ive met 1 guy in RL with nitrous on his G, a week later his engine was crapped.

nitrous = what you see in need for speed, movies ect...into the engine


purge = show, it just spray's nitrous into the air, combined with a light of your color choice it lights up at night.

 

Total cost for install and parts was around $1200, I had it ordered and install from CS motorsports in Gastonia, NC. They do a very good job and the people there are great. Well a nitrous Purge is just clearing the lines and you see the nitrous. I think nitrous is the best bang for buck mod you could ever do. I have the zex kit and is very easy to use. Once you arm it and go WOT it sprays. Very fun and can really notice the kick and extra speed.

 

If you use nitrous in the right manner and a hp shot that your engine can handle than you should have no problem. I dont use it all the time driving, I do the ricer thing and purge more than I do spray, haha. Its just sprays into your intake. Its safer and less harmful than running a turbo or supercharger and cheaper for the same amount of hp.
