Underdrive Pulley sets off ebay?
Anyone here ever purchased any of the lightend underdrive pulley sets off ebay. They seem to be made of the same material as branded pulley sets like Unorthodox. I'm pretty tempted at the moment. I know i'll be getting some flame, but I just want to get some reviews and feedback from those that might've went that direction
Sorry to restart such an old thread but hopefully my info helps.
I can't speak of any issues in particular with the VQ engine but I can speak of 300zx's and the problems reported by Ebay pulleys. There have been numerous complaints on the 300zx forums within the last year (TwinTurbo.net and 300zxclub) about Ebay pulleys not having the timing marks in the correct placement. After a search on Ebay, I noticed that the same vendors were selling both the VQ and VG pulleys so assuming they are from the same source, I would highly question the quality of the Ebay units. Stick to the UR brand if you are going to get one.

From past experience, most e-bay parts are inferior, generic products manufactured cheaply in the Far-East somewhere. They often illegally put a Name-brand sticker on them, and many newbies brag about the "NISMO" or similar part that they got for 1/8th the price of the real thing!
Don't get fooled by this. Especially with a part that, even with a Name-brand item that has had the engineering behind them, has reported to have caused issues! It could be costly in the end!
