mrev

i have heard that if you have a auto tran. that you might run lean with the mrev 2. your best bet is to call up motordyne and ask.

The MREV2 is an improved version of the MREV+. MREV2 flows better so the MREV+ has been phased out. No need to wonder anymore. Its only MREV2 now.

If you have the auto, the gains will be good.
If you have the manual, the gains will be insane!

I would just stick with a spacer and not bother with the possibility of running lean.

Tony,
What can you tell us about "running lean?" I don't think I've seen enough dyno's here or on 350Z to believe this is a fact on the NON Rev-ups.
I added MREV2 to my '04 MT coupe (already had spacer) and I would swear it's running stronger than ever before. Only Sunoco 93 Octane here. [???]
Been holding off adding HFC's because of this thinking that an EMU would also be needed. Is there proof either way? I know you've offered us, multiple times, to share the cost of a dyno but I don't recall too many NON Rev-up's reporting..obviously I had my chance as well

I just read too many people turning what I think is speculation into fact.

...or do you disagree??

What's next from MotorDyne!

This is true.

There was one car running lean because of it, but it was also lean to start with. But in every case that it was installed on the dyno, it bumped the A/F ratio up about a 1/4 point.

This doesn't mean every car will run lean, but it will run a little leaner than baseline. If your A/F is good (12.5 - 13.5) it will be fine.

I generally say it will run lean as a safe default. This is because every car runs differently from the factory. In most cases it will be fine, but there will be some cars that will come lean from the factory.

OTOH
The REVUP engine has a different ECU, It adapts to changes more easily than the prior ECU's.
