Mods and Warranties

Im getting a G and i want to put on a hyper grounding and voltage kit, Stillen CAI and z-tube, but im worried about what the dealer will say, and how it will affect my warranty. Any problems you guys have encountered?

I have all that stuff on mine. It's at the dealer at the moment.
They didn't blink an eye about it. The Service advisor asked
me how the Stillen was working out for me. No problem.

I wonder how much does the dealer charge you for installation? I am thinking to install it by myself but I don't have experience. If it's not that much, I might go for it.

Re: Mods and Warranties

From what I have heard it depends on the dealer. My dealer (Ramsey Infiniti) said no way, as far as installing aftermarket mods. But dont seem to say anything about stuff I put on it allready, today I took it in for rattle fix, the guy mario is pretty cool. He told me today that drag racing voids your warranty !!! WTH I dont get it, but supposedly Acura does the same. So just skip all of your glorius street/drag racing stories while you are at the dealer.

As cato, I have the same mods. No problems. Techs at the dealer actually like the hyper grounds.

In the US, dealers simply cannot void your warranty (per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) if you modify your car they have to prove that the mod caused the problem.</p>

This is all good news, and thanks for that link FDNamebrands! That is going to get me out of some trouble if my dealer is a *****.

Re: Mods and Warranties

I know that the z-tube is being installed at my local Infiniti Dealer.

And 8 different Import dealerships are selling my GroundingGear™ as a performance mod that is safe and effective including Infiniti, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, VW, Lexus, Audi, Toyota with Acura, Mazda, and BMW coming on board soon!

Re: Mods and Warranties

They are selling your specific grounding gear godgee, or just grounding kits? Also are they installing these things too?

Re: Mods and Warranties

The Auto Dealers are selling my GroundingGear™ kits exclusively. Several dealers have looked at the other commercial kits out there, and for a number of reasons (custom fit, quality, availability, technical construction, etc.), and have all decided to carry GroundingGear™. It was one of the dealers that convinced me to get into this as a P/T business locally as the GM there was impressed with my kit. The tuner/aftermarket retailers are mostly selling the generic kits including Sun Auto, Stillen, AeroSpeed , and HKS. As far as I know, none of the Auto Dealers offers the other H-G kits, even those that carry Stillen intakes, etc.
