12,000 miles on the clock and I don't see any consumption between oil changes.

What I'm most worried about is if my replaced engine has the same problem again and my warranty runs out, then im really going to be ***ed out. Anyone with any info about this please chime in.

I know it doesn't regard oil consumption, but I'd be worried about these recalls... and if your unaware of them, maybe one thing lead to another...

or not, just hope the link benifits a few owners.

The VQ is known for burning oil. Unfortunately it's a fact of life that comes with the car. I burn 1-2qts between changes so I installed a JWT oil pan spacer to add another quart. It helps with cooling and peace of mind.

I'm ok with my situation. Other people are burning 3+ quarts in 3k miles which would not be ok in my book.

That's great they are giving you a new engine. I hope you don't have the same problem with the new one.

My car is 4 1/2 years old now, and has never had a problem with oil consumption.
