need encouragement..
need encouragement..
I have downloaded and printed all info to install the 350z tube... and have read all posts on how easy it is to install.. but what is the worst case senario that can happen to me since I have zero experience working on cars?? I talked to a shop and they are willing to put it in for $40.... Is it worth paying the money to avoid disaster?

SKM7, We've all come across that issue at one time or another, so no worries.
Have you got a buddy with more experience perhaps with a G or a Z who could help?
It is a fairly easy install, but if you've had no experience with this type of work then you'd be wise to get help, either from a friend or the dealer.
$40 is about half an hour labour, so I suppose that's not too far out of line, and you'd be assured it was done properly.

Thanks gsedanman!
I got some friends who ran a shop but I don't think they know much about the G. I am glad to hear $40 is not an overly priced charge. Much appreciated!!!

Re: need encouragement..
hey maybe your friend will help, you dont have to know anything about the 'G' to know how to unscrew and yank out an intake tube and screw in the new one..... its really not that difficult

I totally agree with Rambo...If you're friends have experience working on cars this shouldn't be a problem at all, and a great learning experience for you...

I think $40 is alil much.....but if u cant find someelse to do it, i guess for pace of mind its worth it... if you where near me i'd install it for you for pizza and beer lol...
its not really that hard...the intake is pretty easy to take part... the only ting you need to be careful about is the MAF sensor, just dont touch it or break it .... and just dont loose or drop and bolts

private message me for my phone number and you can call me while your doing it. its about 100 times easier than changing oil. It'll take you 10 minutes. U had to take my g to the dealer so I swapped back in the original, I did it at the gas station while my car was filling up.
Re: need encouragement..
