Ok, I've read countless threds about both pipes and am confused on which one to put on my 04. What do you all think? Looking for more sound and more power. Yes I know its more of a sound mod though!

 

I would imagine that the y-pipe would add a tad more power. The mid-pipe is less resonated.

 

don't touch the y-pipe without replacing the big a$$ resonator.

 

I agree - Y-pipe probably adds more power, but mid-pipe adds more growl. If you're interested, I bought a 350Z mid-pipe from Z-car Garage a few years ago. It's been modified to fit a sedan without requiring an extention to be bolted on - a direct replacement. I took it off last summer and replaced it with a Nismo mid-pipe. I bought it for $135 and could part with it for $30 plus shipping - I just want to get it out of my garage. PM me if you're interested.

 

It's worth doing the mid-pipe just to get rid of a huge amount of weight, as well as the sound improvement.

 

SO Should I do both?
