Uh-Oh (maybe)
Re: Uh-Oh (maybe)
If the bottom ends of the bolts are still stuck in your engine, you can fix your problem by:
1) Go buy those bolts from the dealer.
2) Go to your local autoparts dealer and ask tell them of your problem. Most stores offer small kits for like $10 that comes with a small drill bit to drill into the top of the bolt to create a small hole (don't drill all the way down, just enough to make a shallow hole in it). The kit then comes with a reverse drill bit that you put the tip of the bit in the small hole you create and it will reverse drill the bolt out of the engine. I have done this several times and this has work everytime. It's really easy...

The fact that such a tool exists for an elegant solution to the problem should make you feel better... you're not the first, and won't be the last, person to snap off a bolt.
