Simple. Buy a set bolt/nut extractors (~$10) from Sears. Extractors are basically a socket with a teeth. You hammer the extractor on which in turn allows it to dig into the nut and offer the grip you need. Then attach a rachet and twist off. Or you get a sawsal and cut the bolt and associated thread off. Then drill out the remaining stud and insert a new bolt and nut. All this is easier if you remove the midpipe with the Y-pipe attached. Both of my midpipe bolts were badly corroded and a standard socket wouldn't work. I dropped the entire exhaust and went to town with the extractors. The extractors got the nuts off in no time.
