NO TS ECU for 2004 Sedan!!!

I went down to Torrance today to get the TechnoSquare ECU upgrade. The guys hooked up the computer and found out that their upgrade does not work on the 04 sedan! They said that they would have to pull the ECU and ship it to Japan and devise a new program for the 04 model (would take a couple of weeks).

I am posting this here for a couple of reasons. First, anybody outside of So Cal who has an 04 sedan and was considering pulling their ECU and shipping it to TS had better call them first. They told me that to develop the new program they will need to have the car physically there to test it out. So don't waste your time, call em first.

Second, in order for them to develop the new program someone with an 04 sedan will have to lend them their ECU for a couple of weeks. They will swap in an ECU from a coupe for temporary use, and they say this should not cause any problems, but I would only consider this if I had an extra car available, just in case. 2 weeks can be a long time to go without a car. If anyone has alternative transportation and wants to consider this, give em a call.

One last item, they checked the fuel injectors and said the 04 sedan now uses the same size fuel injectors as the coupe and Z, apparently prior model sedans used smaller injectors.

Please correct the following information.

There were two fuel injector suppliers for the pre-June 03 cars
16600-2Y915 Bosch - 350 Coupe & Roadster, G35 Coupe & Sedan, MT & AT
16600-5L700 UNISIAJECS - 350 Coupe & Roadster, G35 Coupe & Sedan, MT & AT

A third part number from Infiniti showed up for the post 06/03 production date models:
16600-CD600 - G35 Coupe and Sedan MT only

Re: NO TS ECU for 2004 Sedan!!!

Sorry DaveO but I do not have the slightest idea what you are talking about! I dont work for Infiniti or Technosquare or anything like that, just a G owner, so please don't depend on me to correct anything!

Nuttyprof - I wouldnt worry about it too much, they said the size difference was minor. They said the diff was 5cc, I have no idea how this relates to an injector, I would think they would be measured in diameter... but the fact is YOU can get the TS upgrade and I cant so you are better off than me I think!
