G35_TX,

I have to agree with you. The Clueless One , as he named himself, is a real piece of work.

Experienced car people here on G35Driver have him pegged as totally clueless. They know not every mod is a race track mod. They also know that cooling or icing down the intake maniforld (plenum) is an old time drag racers trick.

Where The Clueless One does the most damage is with the newer or less experienced car guys and gals that initially fall for his BS. Calling him names does no good as The Clueless One is not smart enough to be embarrased even though he's been caught changing his story many times.

I think it's main purpose is strictly for aestetics. It covers up all the wiring and stuff and makes the engine look pretty. It also makes sense that it would trap heat.

Well I guess I'll keep on damaging and negatively influencing the newer crowd At least I post links and data to back up my BS claims unlike yourselves. I guess that's why my PM box is flooded by people asking me tech questions and telling me not to get upset by you, ChicagoX, and Russ' inflammatory statements

I'm sure there are lots of folks who want to know how to put black electrical tape on their door handles!

Some folks don't know any better----Yet! They'll learn.

You do?!??! I mean, you post links to others that deny the gain. One link for example, the Stillen Intake. Oh wait, but you have never tested it yourself out of all the people who have and the people that gained. You say bad things about all these mods, but you never proved it YOURSELF.

PM box flooded. haha. Dream on. I get PMs daily ever since I have been here about help. I even get PMs about how much a idiot you are.

Don't knock it until you try it It was an experiment to see what the car would look like with black handles. It looked so good that I left it. You wouldn't know there was tape on there unless I told you.

Damn man, you're a broken record.

PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME AND THIS ORGANIZATION WHY WE MUST BUY A MOD TO TEST IS LEGITMANCY? So by your ridiculous rational, I would have to buy a Stillen TD to refute their claims that it adds 22whp You have YET to post ANY dynos to refute my claims when it comes to intake, UDPs, etc. I think you need to take a hard look a mirror to see who the real "idiot" is.

Alright... I am just trying to give in some personal experience since I am just too lazy to do any real data logging for a stupid cover =)
(mind you I have an engineering background if that will make my opinions to be a bit more objective)

I took my cover off a few weeks ago.. and have noticed today that after a 30mins of spirited highway drive, my upper plenum is actually warm to touch where I have never imagined putting my hand onto the damn plenum for more than a second or two.

Yet, it can also be the low temperature (around freezing point) that helps to cool down the plenum; but I figure out because of the design of the plenum cover; it would basically block the majority of airflow going over the plenum (which can majorly cool the plenum down).

Just my 2 cents
