I'm not sure what mechanism you're using to lift your car... perhaps a real mechanical lift of some sort...

But for me, I only have Rhino Ramps and a set of taller metal ramps. The car barely clears the rhino ramps(rubs a little), and there's no way it'd ever get on the taller metal ramps due to the height of them. Maybe changed the design of the engine undercover on the 2006 Coupes so oil changes are easier.... but on my '04 Coupe, if you're using Rhino Ramps, the only way to change your oil is to remove the undercover(I guess you could call it a skidplate), because it blocks access to the oil drain plug and pretty much to the oil filter as well.

I've changed the oil in my car 8 times soo far, and that's the only way I've ever been able to do it. If I had access to a vehicle lift and could get the car up off the ground by about 2 feet, I could probably just remove the rearmost few screws and then bend the engine undercover down and do the oil change with the thing hanging. Unfortunatly, this is not the case.

Does your '06 even have an engine undercover?

even with the ramps it still shouldnt be too difficult to get under the car. i use 2 jacks but i really dont lift the car that far off the ground. i lift it just enough so i can squeeze underneath. i know the skidplate thing you talking about but its not in the way. on the 06' there is a rectangular cutout right under where the oil plug is that provides easy access to the oil plug and oil filter. if you have to undo all the screws holding the undercover on i feel for you. i guess they changed it up a little on the 06's

No to Jiffy Lube! I feel your pain here. I took my VW Golf (not a R32) to a Jiffy Lube once and they stripped the oil pan. Luckily my local mechanic did a quick fix for me by using an oversized drain plug.

Learn to DIY. If money is not an issue, take it to a stealership.

Guys, I am planning to change the oil myself.

Costco is selling Mobil 1 Synthetic oils. They have 2 kinds SAE: 5W30 & 10W30. Which one is the best for our G?

Also, which oil filter should I get? Should I buy it from Infiniti/Nissan dealer?

I take the G to a local garage. I provide the M1 and Nissan filter, they charge me $15 to change the oil.

A reputable independent mechanic (NOT JL) or even a Nissan dealer is likely cheaper than an Infiniti.

so if you go to an infiniti dealer for an oil change you have to specify what kind of oil for them to use?

i dont change my oil because im too lazy to do it. and i dont have the stuff to get my car lifted. i went to every oil change place in my town and i couldnt make it on any ramp or the drive ins. my car is lowered but not slammed. and it sucks. maybe i should invest in some low profile jacks and do this myself.
