Crank Pulley Problem??

Ok so I switched out to the UR crank pulley w/ gates belts about 20k miles ago. I have not had any problems with the belts or squeals or anything. I took my car to the dealer for a 45k maintenance and they are saying one of my belts is cracked, and the other is 'put on wrong'. I find this hard to believe...I simply think they dont know I have an aftermarket crank pulley w/ different sized belts. Should I tell the dealer I have an aftermarket crank?? Or should I just tell them not to replace the belts?? they want $210 for changing both belts, AC and serpentine.

I am very weary of telling them that I have an aftermarket crank pulley on the car...then they might start investigating. So should I take a chance and say F it, take it home inspect, or leave it for them to change?? I can pay them to do it, but when they go to replace the belt and see the OEM one doesnt fit....The light bulb may go on!!

HEEELP!!

If you are worried.. it appears you are... DON'T have them change it!
When they pull off your existing belt they will SURELY see your pulley then.
I would tell them, "Thanks, I will replace them myself". Then if you are super cautious buy new belts and keep the receipts. If it comes up again in the future you have receipts that indicate that you took care of the 'problem'. That is what I would do. Good luck!

WOW! $210 just to replace two belts?! Two Gates belts (which are the most expensive brand anyway) for our cars don't even come out to cost more than $50. Politely decline their offer and check your belts yourself when you get your car home. Chances are your belts are fine. If your belts were in fact installed incorrectly or were about to tear off you would most likely hear some squeaking or noise from them first. If you haven't heard such noises then chances are that you have nothing to worry about.

god i love being right. stealership thought that the OEM belts would fit, so they tried to swap...only to realize they couldnt. so they ended up putting my gates belts back on 'the right way'. however one of my belts is still 'cracked'...prob. just an old belt but whatever. no charge from the dealer.
