anyone know about the AAM Plenum spacer? Gruppe-s is highly recommending it but haven't really heard much about it. BTW '06mt stock right now but will be doing stillen CAI, dual exhaust(haven't decide what brand yet, probably HKS) and high flow cats...

1/2" MD all the way...tested it against the SSV, Crawford and APS - MD rules the road...even for FI.

For a more accurate and realistic idea of the gains of plenums vs. spacers, see the article in Winter '05/'06 issue (#21) of Sport Z magazine, and also see:

Personally, I went with the APS plenum,

but I think the Crawford is at least every bit as good.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of them since they all do the same thing except mrev which gives you more mid range power. Its just a matter of cost and what kind of look you are going for. That said, I do think the polished crawford cast plenum is pretty pimp looking in a G's engine bay...

so it's my understanding that you have to have an 05 or newer g35 to use the mrev correct?

i am 5AT with crawford plenum........very satisfied with sound/power/MPG increase..my engine cover still fits with a lil effort but i chose not to use it to disperse heat better.

what increase in MPG did you get? i drive my car sensably and i'm only getting 19-20 mpg. I do a lot of highway driving and keep it under 60mph (daily driver so i have no reason to beat it to death).

I've been trying to not lead foot it or do anything stupid to see what kind of mpg numbers i can get. i'd like to be up around 23 average.

well i do about 60% city and 40% highway and occasionally will smash the car and put my VQ to good use. I get about 19 MPG that way. The noticeable different was prior to getting the crawford...i would drive the same thing and would only get 16.5-17 at the most so it definitely gained about 1.5 MPG average...time after time the MPQ remained 19-20 when before it was always the same numbers so I know it had a lil help...dont expect too much...but the power difference is very noticeable
