Whining noise comming from engine compartment

After the car is warmed up, I get a strange whining noise from the engine bay. Took it to the dealer, they confirmed that it wasn't normal. My appt is in 3 weeks

Anyone experienced this issue?

Did you lock your wife/significant other in there?

Thank you...Thank you...I'll be here all week!

^^^This Guy...

Hard to know exactly what kind of whining noise you're talking about.
Mine has a slight whine that comes from my gearbox. That's a normal noise from what I've read.

But if the Dealer says your whine not normal, let us know what it ended up being.

I get this kind of noise when my car is cold. Like 20 or 30 out. But after the car gets hot it goes away.

is this going to be some joke, where after you get some responses you come out and say,

"SIKE! I just got my stillen installed! w00t!"

or something like that?

I hope it gets worked out. Sounds like a belt or a pump is going to the poops on you.

Haha no I didn't lock the gf/wife in there

It's not the gear chatter noise I am refferring to. It's a strange sound. I will post back I guess after the dealer looks at it on the 26th.

Any resolution to this?

I too have engine bay whine. I've had it for a few months now. I suspect that it is a loose belt, but that seems odd for a car with only 15k miles. I'm taking it to the dealer on Friday to have them take a look at it.

im taking my car in today for the whining/whirring noise in my engine bay.
it only happens in the first 5 minutes of driving after it's been parked for a long time.
im leaving it at the dealership and going back next morning and have a ride along with a technician.
hopefully i'll get a new tranny.
