the drop in boost is not SIGNIFICANT for daily driving...plus wheres the fun in an automatic turbo...NO BOV noise..THUMBS DOWN (unless you just let off the throttle to make the noise...where you have no reason to because you dont need to let off the gas to let the auto shift itself)

Auto's are very good if your a daily driver who does not drive "spiritively", or if some some reason your not able to get one (wife ).

But c'mon, if your gonna go turbo, it better be MT (if you have the option). We're not talking 2000 HP Drag Race cars here.

Some people arent able to get MT's for their own personal reason; That's completely fine.

But some (very few) would actually think if getting an Automatic Turbo'd G over a Turbo'd G 6MT, even with an MT as an option.

That's just not right

Another thread that's going down the same hole... Auto vs MT. Even though im sure it wasnt the OP's original intent (limited voting options).

Drag racing is called "drag" for a reason. Roads bend, steering wheels turn both ways and gearboxes work best going up and down. Two lane highways and road courses are the best test of man and machine.
gimme 3 pedals please.

Well if it's in Tiptronic mode you should let go of the gas between shifts anyway.

Ok, I'm not voting for either one because of the limited choices.
But, let's just say that if any situation like this happens to me some how, (let's say I won some kind of sweepstakes and I HAVE TO choose between the turbo/auto and the NA/manual with NO other choices allowed), then I will go with the NA/manual.
I doubt the OP intended to limit the choices in this way. If OP was hardcore automatic lover, then he/she would have limited it to 3.5turbo/auto and 3.7NA/auto.
I just don't see how such situation would happen to anyone even considering the wife plague. Either you are able to get manual, or only auto. Unless it's a situation similar to one I made up above, that is.
If this poll is just for fun kind of thing, then I understand.
If OP intended to relate this to any real life situation, it just doesn't make sense. It does seem as OP does like manual AND turbo, so let's not abuse our poor brains to make such harsh decisions. GET BOTH! Not possible? Then I'd get a different car!

How about this?

Which would you choose? You may only choose one once and price is free.

A) R34 GT-R with Angelina Jolie as a Bonus

B) New GT-R with Angelina Jolie as a Bonus

or C) Both GT-Rs with Angelina Jolie and her secret evil twin sister AND Kobe's mansion as a bonus... + $9x99999999999999999999 in cash + free ticket to become the godfather of the world for a day...

Oh wait, you can't choose C because it's reserved for everyone else who'll be voting after you..

Ok.. that was lame. Time to get some sleep. *knocks self out*

IMO the poll doesn't ask the right question. Turbocharged for torque. Why do you think the new TT BMW335i makes 300 lb-ft torque at 1400rpm?
