Car didn't start up today, has been sluggish cranking over for a while, so i think its time for a new battery, i have 54k miles over 3 yrs. I have read about optima batteries but i really don't need a high end one, no stereo upgrades in my car. What is a regular battery that is good and not too much money. any input is appreciated, Thanks

went with the red top optima. pep boys had one in stock so i will try it out.

 

why dont people realize the stock battery has to be serviced...ie adding distilled water to the chambers every few months. honestly you might be able to just refill the chambers, charge the battery up, and use it for another year or so. worst case just go buy an interstate - they own optima

 

optima didn't fit, just bought a die hard. i needed one so no more shopping around.

 

optima does fit you need the reverse setup model 54r i think, i have a redtop in my car

 

Usually the ones the stores keep in stock are not the reverse terminal kind.

 

light weight batteries are awesome weight reduction.. the stock is over 60lbs, I believe... awesome saving with a 15lbs optima or something similar..
