Question Hard Starts...

Hi Everyone,

First time posting here after reading for the past 3 years since i had my 2003 G35. I have never run into an issue till this weekend. ....

I just want some confirmation

I got my brakes replaced this weekend and the car was on the lift for 3+ hours with a shop heater hitting the car.

When the car came down the CEL, SLIP and VDC light came on. The car started hard. Once it starts it is fine but the lights are on. No rough and all the gear shifts are fine. I actually like how it is atm but i just dislike the hard starts.

The mechanic told me that computer thinks it is summer time now. (he did not reset the ECU) He informed me that 2 types of gasolines exist which are summertime and wintertime. Since the heater was hitting it the car adjusted itself to summertime mode if i can all it that. He said to drive the car around a couple days.

The car runs fine and way better if it did do this. i can feel the engine once again. I though reset the ECU today and the light went away and the car is starting to turn on correctly still a lil card start but not as bad anymore.

What are your comments? Is this even possible to happen?

The error he got was "CSP advanced timing". Comments?

Thanks again
