Here you go guys...here are some pics of my revup after I had it torn down. The HUGE problems that I discovered it the piston ring lands are VERY weak. Every land was either fractured or broke completly. It seemed that on every piston it was on the outside side of the piston, where there is more stress. The oil build up on the piston was severe, that's where all that oil ws going. The side of the piston, where the "coating" was applied is thin and was already worn down. IMO the pistons are the whole problem. Thought I would post these.....its been a while.

Wow, that does not look good at all. How many miles did you have? Are you making any performance changes or is this a dealer thing?

 

This is my thing. All the dealer would do would be replace with stock. I have 20K on the car used oil since 2nd month. Nissan says that its normal for them to use oil. "Its the type of rings they use" This is just all the old stuff that I am taking pics of. I have beautiful new CP pistons and Eagle rods going in on thursday.
