Alright guys its time to get more power out of her. Going to be doing a full build in the near future. I have two options I have been looking at. The goal is over 600 Hp.

Option 1: Build the Vq35HR internally. Throwing either the Greddy TT kit or Supercharge it. Having to build the transmission, seeing how it is an automatic.

Option 2: Swapping in a single turbo LS3 and a T56 transmission.

Have priced out both builds and know the rough numbers from the builds I am looking at. But I do not have much info on the VQ motors boosted. Just trying to get some opinions and see if anyone has any experience/info on boosting our stock motors.

Well, you can always go twin supercharge. They are putting down some real nice power. I have the stillen kit and making some ok numbers. I guess if i want more i better save up on rebuilding the engine.

Build the LS

 

build ls and use trans adapter for cd009 to retain factory style gearing.


you can build a 5.3 to take much more power than a vq can even dream of, and be much much cheaper.
thats not a knock on the vq series, i have vq35 and vq40 in two different vehicles and love them both. but they love to be naturally aspirated.
