I am curious how many miles people are generally getting out of their clutches. I know that is a loaded question and depends a lot on how you drive your cars.

But, here is my story: I drive the car fairly hard but am pretty easy on my clutch. The car is a lease and I need to hand it in at 54,000 miles. I am trying to figure out if I am going to have to incure that cost.

I would certainly hope a clutch would last more than 54K miles (I'm only at 6k now so i really do not know), but I am interested also since this is one of the few things not covered under warranty

 

im at 34k mi now and am really, really holding my breath that i can make it to 60k. i try to rev match as much as possible and come off stop at idle.....

hopefully some others can post their experiences... but even then, the way you drive seems to matter more than anything else. im sure its possible to kill the clutch in 10k miles....

 

i'm at 20k, still good. i drive normally. on occasion i push it but not daily.

 

im at 53k, still the same clutch.. clutch and pressure plate seem a bit chattery but im sure itll last another 15-20k

 

if you dont take it to the track ever, it should be fine.

Just replaced my clutch and flywheel at 58,000 miles...

It really depends on your driving obviously, but my stock transmission is a distant memory to me. Mine was replaced twice, under warranty so I dont really know exactly what the mileage on my clutch was when my first aftermarket went in. Id guess 40ish k. The clutch was tracked (autox not drag) heavily and it really is in good condition for the abuse I've given it. Conversly, my tilton clutch/flywheel only got to see 10k in my car due to how much it began to become a bother to drive semi-daily. When I removed that, there was as much, if not more wear visible on the friction material vs the ~40k OEM clutch. The tilton was tracked more than the OEM though. If you just daily drive, as long as you know how to drive stick properly, not just shift up the gears, 50k is nothing on this clutch. It really shocked me how durable it is.

 

just got the same deal at 36k.. but my clutch was fine.. tranny was defected

 

Still on my first at 43k and I've been boosted for the last 15 months.

 

i push the car when i drive it my mom pushes it maybe twice a week. it has 31, 271 miles. i suck at stick so

 

I got a little left, I got about 4,000 miles on it right now






















jk, I wouldnt be worried about your clutch reaching 54,000..id be worried about it reaching 100,000+, youre fine
