This seems rediculous, but then again I'm no mechanic...

Re: What the ???

well, you can kind of pick up on the lie, as he says "it give you a higher top speed" and the G has a govenor on it, so the top speed can't go any higher without taking that off.

Re: What the ???

I've read that there is no governor on the G35coupe.

Car and Driver and other auto mags have 155-158 as the true, drag-limited speed of the G35 coupe.

Re: What the ???

no there is a govener when techno squeare did the programing for the ECU they found it at 156mph. Car and driver is wrong. It has been calcualter that the top speed would be around 172 mph with out a govener and if u were able to redline 6th gear you would be doing 192 but it would take over 500 hp to redline 6th gear.

Re: What the ???

It's a resistor. The description even admits it's a resistor. Resistors only cost a few cents each. I say it's bogus.

Let's assume for a second that it really does make the computer think there's more air, or colder air, or whatever. Aside from advancing the timing, the computer's probably going to add more fuel to keep the A/F ratio optimal. However, there isn't really more air coming in, so the computer's just been tricked into running too much fuel. That would reduce your power. Just my thoughts on the subject.
