hmm hard number to reach esp without FI well get a good amount of bolt-ons but you will exceed your budget.. so good luck .. or you can use nitrous

I'm thinking about getting these parts tell me if its good: Mrev2, with a spacer, Injen Track edition or G200, Fast flow cats, Intake, maybe headers thats about 50hp I'm guessing but not sure.

Yeah, that would be a good start,or even getting the kinnetix full plenum,it's a bit pricey, but sure looks purdy under the hood. I would deffinitely recommend getting it tuned, and a chip for it. That will deffinitely help you get closer to your goal. Although the easiset would be an fi.

350 flywheel HP shouldnt be that bad...

Intake - your choice
Spacer - 5/16th i subjest
Headers - Your choice
High flow cats / test pipes - Your choice
Exhaust - Your choice
Piggy back system - U-tech

That should give you what your looking for...cost is going to be give or take 3400.00

EDIT: haha, the flywheel should be crank*****

It ain't happening my friend. Intake, ztube, mrev+ with spacer, headers, test pipes, exhaust, and a utec tuned by one of the best in the business only got me around 20hp to the wheels. That's nowhere close to 50hp at the crank.

If you want more than that you're going to have to get cams and have some headwork performed.

With those mods it should give him atleast 40 extra hp...20 hp at the wheels is an easy 40 hp at the crank...

I know you said no blower but that is by far the best way to reach your goal. Go FI or lower your expectations.

If 20hp at the wheels equalled 40hp at the crank, then that would mean the drivetrain loss would approach 50%, which just isn't the case. 17% drivetrain loss, which is what Doug Stewart figures for the 6MT, would mean that 350hp at the crank would put down 290.5 to the rear wheels.

It's only 17 % loss? For some reason i thought it was almost 30... haha i don't know where i got that idea from. I never put 2 and 2 together either though.

thanks for clarifying that..

I agree. It's hard and expensive to gain substantial hp on the VQ with just bolt ons. May as well just add a blower.
