Changed the spark plugs, did fuel injector cleaning treatment, took off the JWT intake and im getting 420 miles to the tank with highway and city mixed and redlining at least twice a day. Before without redlining and with highway driving I could not get more than 340 miles to the tank. Car is stronger which i proved myself at the drag strip and i am getting very good gas mileage. So people that have over 30k on the odometer go change the spark plugs and yank the aftermarket intake off, also do the fuel injector treatment (I used BG44k). I am not a gas mileage ***** but it feels good to drive about 100 miles more and have the car running stronger.

Would you be willing to put the intake back on for a tank or two? For what's it's worth, I've been tracking my mpg w/ my navi and I didn't see a drop off after I put on my Stillen.

Stillen has a similar design as the stock airbox. I have always said if u NEED an aftermarket intake for the noise stillen is the one to go without losing performance.

Humm. I did plugs, and although I felt the engine running better, I saw no MPG increase. Still only getting 320/tank.

I picked up a bottle of Lucas gas treatment. I will do the BG44k in another few tanks and see what I get. I am running stock intake / exhaust.

^The fuel treatment was done by a guy that i know that works at infiniti dealer. Besides me doing the actuall gas treatment he also connected the intake hose to the fuel treatment system and sucked all the fuel out and went into the heads and cams according to the guy. I did see him doing all that.

As absolutely crazy as it sounds, my car feels like it runs better with the OEM paper filter. A while back I yanked my K&N because it was filthy and put the OEM filter in it's place. At the same time I cleaned the MAF. After a week of driving I put the cleaned K&N back in (not oiled though) and drove around for two days. It's probably all in my head, but the car a bit sluggish similiar to the way it did prior to yanking the dirty filter and uncleaned MAF. The induction sound is a bit less with the OEM filter, but the 06 midpipe and a slightly modified airbox fixed that problem My VQ35 is quite a louder, even at a cruise, but I finally found a sound and volume I'm really happy with.
