Yes, extended drain intervals dont apply for OEM spec filters. Use an oil filter that is recommended for extended drain intervals such as the M1 or amsoil

I might not be up to date on this but to my knowledge, there are no oil filters specifically designed for extended change intervals. From what I remember, Amsoil's oil can go for a long time, but their filters still need to be changed somewhat regularly. ie.. every 5-6k or so.

That may be true for the m1 filter, but amsoil's EA filters are guaranteed for 25,000 miles or 1 year and are recommended for extended drain intervals. The mobil 1 filter is labled for "extended performance", but they don't recommend changing the filter until the oil is changed regardless of the mileage, which I would be leary of on an extended drain interval. So yes there are many filters suitable for extended drain intervals which don't have to be changed at 5-6k. It wouldn't hurt, but I'm not sure how necessary.

German Castrol shows good oil analysis in the G35, All cars prefer different oils. Not one perfect for every car.

Visit bobistheoilguy.com. Lots of good info.
This is not so. Please, call Mobil at - 1-800-662-4525, and talk to them yourself. You will find that Mobil 1 is a true Group IV, PAO based synthetic oil.

As an AMSOIL dealer of almost 20 years, I can answer this question for you.

AMSOIL EaO Filters are guaranteed for 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first, when used in conjunction with AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil in gasoline and diesel vehicles in normal service, 15,000 miles in severe service.

Very questionable, "info", from very questionable, nameless and faceless srouces.

No reason at all to not use Mobil 1, a true PAO based synthetic oil. Call Mobil at - 1-800-662-4525 and find out for yourself.
