When do you replace the timing belt

I have searched everywhere, even the service and owners manual. Do you have to change the timing belt in the G's? I figured it would be at 100,000 miles. But nowhere does it say this has to be done. Does anyone know?

I believe that the G has a timing chain.

Does it? Nissan used a chain instead of a belt? hmm. Either way, it doesn't say anything about it in the service manual...

Replace it when you rebuild the engine. The chain will outlast the other parts. No worries.

Your right about that. I talked to my buddy at the nissan dealer last night. That is a huge plus.

The chain will go forever, but the chain tensioner will not. Eventually it will wear down to the metal and will start to make noise. Usually not until 150K+ though, so long interval on it.
