I'm just looking for a simple set up but it will definitely be done right. If I can get about 400rwhp without having to build the block, I will be happy. I'm still researching which kit is best suited for me.

I have the greddy kit , but if I had to do it again I'd go APS...such a nicer kit IMO. Fit and finish, ball bearing turbos, better instructions, just a more complete kit. gl with your search.

Im sorry, im a little ignorant about FI.

Could you please explain what you mean?

Maybe give an example of your ideal "right set-up", and i think i get the point about a stupid set up.

Once again, new to me and very interesting. Thanks

stupid = aggressive tune, high boost, with abnormally aggressive driving on a stock block

right way = built engine with good tuning.

I think the 350z site has a sticky on this..."how to do twins right the first time"... a lengthy one, but very informative and true to its point.

problems holding boost above a certain level. forged actuator is a requirement, and even then it has issues. this is why a few shops are creating an external gate mod for the APS kit.

They hold boost great, as long as you don't go above the 'safe' limit engineered by APS.

Once you upgrade the actuators, and do it right, you shouldn't have any problems holding boost. I haven't. Of course I'm not trying to run crazy pressure or anything. I think for the average (or even slightly above average) user the internal wastegate isn't a problem at all.

I would much rather have water cooled ball bearing turbos over an external wastegate.

how much boost are you running with the APS kit?

OT: how do I go about ordering modules from you?

10psi right now, but probably 14 when it is totally tuned - I want a nice, reliable pump gas only car, so I'm not going to push it too hard.

A place called Performance Clinic built the motor (Terrible pricing, terrible customer service, terrible overall experiance)

A place called Quick Rev! fixed all the things Performance Clinic messed up and actually got the car running (www.quickrev.com).

I have done all the tuning myself.
