I'm not sure if this is a special application product or just for show. Normal clear PVC hose isn't suitable for the heat and pressure of engine coolant. If you've ever cut through real coolant hoses you probably know they are thick walled and reinforced with threaded fibers.

It looks cool, but I wouldn't bet my engine on it.

Looks like standard plexi. I would think that it would be fine but it will get dirty and stained in a short time.

Its not standard plexi, if anything it would be polycarbonate. Plexi would melt when the engine warmed up.

Plexi would not melt. I have polished ports and faces for speaker enclosures with a torch well past 300 degrees and it didn't show signs of breaking down.

Acrylic has a melting point about there...maybe even less. I've polished plenty of plastic and if you leave the torch there for a second to long the plastic will catch on fire. It will also easily bubble and warp, especially 1/8"....but I could still be wrong.

I think you'd be safer with a clear intake tube.

HAHA atleast the TC can keep a tranny for longer than 50K miles. I wouldn't own one though, I don't like the way they drive.

what's the point of such tubing? other than the fact of transparency, will it have enough give to flex? i can imagine the tube popping off during hard driving...
