The corvette system is not the best. Gm likes to keep the sound down. This means stuffing the muffler and that means back pressure. A pair of 2 chamber flowmasters and you will see nearly 10%. If your vette is already making 400 horses then you may not see much more due to the engine management or intake air flow issues. Your exhast should have been the 1st or 2nd item to change due to the ease of the job and free power. Headers will net you more power if the primaries are larger enough and they will really bump if they are equal lenght. Nissan may have designed the system well but there is always room to move. This is due to consessions made by the owners-more noise is a primary concern of auto makers and we as owners may like it loud. This will give us more flexability when choosing a system.

I'd have to disagree w/ you... The engine in the G35 is a totally differenent engine than the RB engines in previous Skylines.

Also I'd also have to agree w/ those who've responded to this thread doubting that an exhaust system alone would yield a 26hp gain.

The only cars that I've seen respond well to an exhaust change were turbocharged cars, and this was after only changing other things along the intake and exhaust(air cleaner, downpipe).

The ZR1 was a complete package done by Lotus and there really is not much left to get out of that engine combo. Well, maybe cutouts...now we're cheatin'

does anyone else see that the tq curve looks like that of a turbo'd car. it spikes whereas NA cars are much flatter. for comparison, here is mine.......

You have been weighed.....You have been measured.....and you have been found WANTING!!!

Re: Fresh Dyno on my SEDAN! And a 13.86 ¼ Mile pass!!

so it has to do with how the engine is "cooled"?

no dude. Naturally Aspirated means NO TURBO, NO SUPERCHARGER, NO BLOWER

Re: Fresh Dyno on my SEDAN! And a 13.86 ¼ Mile pass!!

It's just how the engine breathes. Naturally Aspirated (NA) engines suck air in through the intake. Forced Induction (FI - not to be confused with fuel injected, check your context) engines have extra air crammed into them at higher pressures via a supercharger or a turbocharger. I believe a blower is just another name for a supercharger.

Re: Fresh Dyno on my SEDAN! And a 13.86 ¼ Mile pass!!

this is what i was talking about. if you look at the bottom red lines, they show a stock IS300 (3.0 liter I6). notice how the torque peaks relatively low and stays flat. the upper lines (the blue ones) show that with boost, the tq has a sharper peak and the drops off.
