I took the car into the dealer on Tuesday. After talking with the service rep, then speaking directly to the mechanic later in the day, they could not find any problem. Mechanic attempted to recreate the problem with no success. There were no error codes.

So $125 later, all I have is "if you can recreate the problem, bring it back in" and the invoice showing the problem write-up. At least if the problem does recreate, and I can't shut my G35 down in time to avoid a crash, I'll have documentation that I attempted to have the problem identified and resolved. Not a whole lot of comfort....

I know it is a pain when they "can't recreate it". You get the car back and it does it right away. Does your car accelerate when you have the brakes to the floor? Does the rpms go up and down when you are in neutral? If so I am telling you it is the Idle Air Valve. Take it back and have them check that!
