Just trying to decide whether i should get a 5/16 basic spacer or 1/2 inch basic spacer in washington state. Is there any sound differance between the 2? like is the 1/2 make it louder then the 5/16? Also is there any way to make the engine cover fit on my 03 even after a 1/2 is installed cuz i know a 5/16 itll still fit.

i've heard both a few times now...the sound isn't any different - at least not enough to make note of it.

i've actually heard of some people modifying the engine cover a little bit to fit with the 1/2" spacer.

imo, just get the 5/16" if you're a dd.

just chuck the engine cover - it looks ****ty and just soaks up heat; it's useless.

5/16 and 1/2 sounds the same compaired to one another but they're both lounder then stock..

if you put on the 5/16 spacer you can run the engine cover but know that you sit VERY close to the insulation of the hood and if it does get loose it will start rubbing against the insulation

IMO just dump the cover or buy the 350z cover

NO WAY!!!!! It's 0.003856254 db's louder, but you have to put your ear on the plenum. Hopefully you have the ISO thermal kit.

will i need an ISO thermal kit or is a basic just fine for a daily driver, i try not to dry in rain or freezing but it does happen. very few times it drops below 32 degrees in washington state.

Is there a big diff between the two?

Im looking at getting a 5/16 spacer but i am also lookin at a kinetix v+ plenum. which is the better way to go for a 2003 6mt, or shall i say what are the differances?
