Re: tune up when?

3750 is the first maintenance checkup and it's just an oil change. You can even go 7500 if you don't do a lot of stop and go or drive hard. I switched to synthetic my first change. Look in the little maintenace book they gave you and it will explain everything they check and replace at each interval.

Re: tune up when?

Depending on how hard your car is driven and the environment you're in, I'd probably start checking thigns more closely around 20-30Kmiles, maybe longer.... Just depends how you are. I will personally check things out much more frequently, but that's just the way I am. I'm sure you could go 50-60K and still be ok too. The manuals and stuff have a guide in them, but it also says that it will vary depending on the conditions, etc...

If you take your car into the dealer for service, warranty items, recalls, etc.. they're supposed to do a full car inspection while it's in there and they should find anything that's out of the ordinary too, that is if you trust your local dealer....

Re: tune up when?

Just be safe and tune it up. You also have to get one at 7800 miles and one at 15k. The dealership is going to try and tell you to not go synthetic for one main reason: they want to do more frequent oil changes on your car. Just make sure you get your tune ups when you need them, don't push it you know?
