got off work yesterday and started to leave when a deck head decided he wanted to be in front of me and then flick me off. well to slow down quicker i down shifted, automatic, and didn't realize it right away, but the thing got stuck in neutral. it would not for anyting move. it was stuck between drive and where you switch for the tiptronic function of the tranny. i tried messing around for an hour until i jiggled an area on the drivers side, there is a small square hole that I stuck my flat head in and it suddenly started changing gears everytime i moved it. made it to drive and decided to start home so to further find a solution to prevent this future catastrophe. any ideas as to what happened? i think that my down shift was a little to early and i may not have been completely in tiptronic mode when i did.

by the way the deck head got out of his truck and asked me what my problem was. when i said his name he seemed shocked that i knew him and walked straight back to his truck and left.

 

i guess i am the only one huh?

 

I'm having the same problem right now...how did you end up fixing the problem?

 

have you searched on this? If it were me, I would remove the shift **** and lift the center console out. Readjust and then reinstall the console.
