10-15hp for $300
you are twisting it
I don't know if you are handicap at your english or you didn't pay attention while you read.
Yes, you can use it at night, it dim your head light a little while it's on, just a little. If your theory stands, you can use mega strereo at night.
Fan motor self-destructs?? What do you think? I don't see they have contract with defense department. Even some plastic bits come off, they did provide a mesh to catch those. When I took out mine, the mesh is clean.
I didn't cut into electtic system, only contact to car's elect system is to battery. So don't jump start another car, that also void your warranty.
It's not restricting intake tube if less then 3". eRAM body is like 4.5" in diameter, enough space around the motor.
Besides, if you are not at WOT, you don't need that much power, if you do, you would push gas pedal a little futher.
You could spend more time read through it, but hey ....

Electric supercharger=snake oil
I'll stick with the belt driven one's. 10-15hp I highly doubt it for $300 you can find 10-15 horsepower somewhere else.

99 Grand Prix GTP(hers)
91 GMC Dually

Re: 10-15hp for $300
People!!! We are talking about the VQ35 here. I am sure there are many other better ways to get another 10-15hp out of your motors! The damn ERam is a gimmick pure and simple, on par with the POS "Tornado". I have a buddy that had the "Twin ERam" on an IS300 and it did absolutely dick for $600. The power is ready to be found, just dont look for it with an electric gardening tool!
ways to improve power.
There are many ways to improve engine power. But I can sort them into 4 categories. You can mix them and get more benifits.
1> take away restrains. Like pop charger, header, bore throttle, valve job.
2> force induction. Turbo, supercharger, RAM-air
3> rev higher: internal mods
4> extra help: NOS
Let put away number 4 for a while. From number 1 thru 3, they all mean to increase air amount breathed over period of time. Unless you have turbo charger or super charger, 1 more psi at intake is always going to help your engine breath better. Rmember, dense air is our friend.
I can feel for your IS300 friend, in fact that's exactly we I felt two years back. I spent $600 to just get 1more psi, while it only cost others $300. That's why I took them out and put them on two cars. Both can get 1 psi gain.
If you ask me why, both IS300 and 300ZX has dual intakes. That's a fate for us. But G or Z350 has one inatke, see what I meant?
Choice is yours, 10 more hp means 2 car length at end of 1/4 mile.

What are you smokin? Maybe in a 1500 pound car. Let me guess, you got suckered into buying one or a hundred of these things and have to unload it/them. Most G35 owners are a little smarter than that. Try a "RICER" site, you may have better luck.

I have some explain to do
I said there will be 2 car length at end of 1/4 was an estimation. I was just throwing number out my experience
After NJ2VA's question, I ran a simulation base on a 200 rwhp 15s vehicle. An improve of 5% in power band did bring down the 1/4 mile time from 15.0 second to 14.74 second . That's 0.26 second improvement. At 96mph, that's 33 ft, a little more than 2 cars length(unless you drive a extended bed). Damn, I was close!
I know this is not a real result but this software was relible in the pass.

Re: I have some explain to do
Tim,
How long is the eRam hosing? I was looking under the hood but I could not figure out where it would fit. It looks too long to fit between the airbox and the rest of the intake.
Where you would install it?

don't fool by their dimenision diagram
you need at least 8" space for it. And it take some work to install it.
I don't have a G35, so I can't help you there.
If I were you, I would buy the K&N kit and cut a hole on stock air box and stick the filter inside the airbox. That way, you get cold air intake, K&N filter and stealth eRAM.

Re: 10-15hp for $300
I hate to admit it, but......there was this one guy who installed an "electricsupercharger" on his RSX Tpye-S and ran a 1/4mile in the mid 14's (Famosa Speedway). Other than an intake, this was the only other mod he had. Bone stock, the car typically runs 14.9-15.0 secs.
They say that it gives a boost of about 3-4psi...not enough to feel it, but it'll show on the time slip. This is just what I witnessed. Although there are a few different models out there, $300 is pretty expensive. The guy who sold the blower to the RSX owner is a distributor and is only asking $70.
Regardless.....I still have my reservations on this product.

3-4psi is not enough to feel a difference????? Your kidding right? Please pass me some of whatever it is that you are smoking! There is NO WAY the ERam can provide that much boost, you would be lucky to get the 1psi that they advertise it to produce.
Re: 10-15hp for $300
Bukwheat
If you can get hold of the guy selling eRAM for $70, I would like to buy couple of them from him. I also feel $300 is too deep.
